A typical day in our program starts with breakfast, followed by two hours of classes and a lunch break. After lunch, class sessions resume for two more hours. Instructors are available for individual consultation when not in class and before the dinner hour. Classes meet Monday through Friday.
Evening Campus Programming
After dinner, students will take part in cultural programming several evenings a week, including film showings, barbeques, invited speakers, and group gatherings at other campus events. This expansion of the program beyond the classroom is designed to help students better navigate the complete college experience and enhance their understanding of American culture.
Evening and weekend programming is supported by the Institute’s student staff who help Institute students get to know the campus AND the US.
Because we are centrally located between Philadelphia and New York City, students in our program can take advantage of optional programmed tours (for an additional fee) of each of these cities as well as other regional sites of cultural and historic interest. These events will be available on select weekends and can be requested by individual students or student groups. Suggestions from accepted students are welcomed in advance of the program’s start date.
